Ocean Export Operator London

Are you looking for a fantastic opportunity to work within a Multi-Award Winning Logistics company offering genuine opportunities for progression? We are looking for an Ocean Export Operator to join our successful and expanding export department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

To strengthen our operations team we are looking for an Ocean Export Operator who will be responsible for ocean export shipment operations from origin to destination whilst delivering best-in class customer service. Main duties include:

  • Dealing with customers enquiries and processing client bookings
  • Liaising effectively with hauliers, shipping lines and overseas agents to ensure ultimate customer service is met at all times
  • Completing accurate documentation including bills of lading, NES entries, invoices
  • Preparing quotations in accordance with client requirements, with prompt follow up
  • Negotiating rates with suppliers in order to optimise profit margin
  • Dealing with invoicing/job costing to customers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with clients in order to identify opportunities for new business

Required experience, skills and qualities:

  • Previous experience in the shipping / freight forwarding sector is essential
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to deliver high level of customer service
  • High level of speed and accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills with ability to work under pressure
  • Hard working, flexible with willingness to learn and develop new skills

Import Air Freight Operator – London

Do you have previous import airfreight experience with excellent customer service skills? if so, we want to hear from you. Job Role:

You will be responsible for handling the day to day import airfreight operations whilst delivering our clients a best-in-class experience in a friendly, proactive manner.

The main duties include:

  • Handling clients’ enquiries, providing quotations and processing bookings
  • Transmitting import customs entries and ensuring compliance with customs regulations
  • Liaising with overseas partners, airlines, transports to arrange quick dispatch of cargo
  • Planning and arranging deliveries as per client requirements
  • Ensuring all customers are served in line with their Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Monitoring the progression of transports and advising the client at agreed milestones
  • Building excellent relationship with customers in order to exploit further business opportunities
  • Negotiating with supplier in order to maximise profit margin whilst adding value to the client

Required experience, skills and qualities:

  • 1yr+ import airfreight experience within a freightforwarding company is essential
  • Good knowledge of customs procedures with practicalexperience in classifying goods using the Customs Tariff
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to deliverhigh level of customer care
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work to achievedeadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
