Are you an experienced import professional looking for your next challenge? Unsworth, a multi award-winning logistics and supply chain solutions provider, is seeking a Sea Freight Import Coordinator to join our dynamic import team in Ipswich. 

In this key role, you'll be responsible for managing sea freight shipments from origin to final delivery, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth, efficient operations. What You’ll Be Doing
  • Managing end-to-end import sea freight shipments
  • Liaising with overseas agents, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely cargo dispatch
  • Accurately managing shipments using CargoWise within agreed KPIs
  • Maintaining high data quality standards to provide our clients with real-time updates via our industry-leading visibility platform
  • Ensuring timely receipt and processing of documents and customs clearance information
  • Planning and organising final delivery in line with client needs
  • Proactively track and trace shipments, addressing any delays or issues.
  • Ensuring client SOPs are consistently followed
  • Issuing accurate invoicing and job costing
  • Building strong relationships with clients to maximise long-term business opportunities

 

What We’re Looking For
  • At least 2  years' experience in import sea freight operations within a freight     forwarding company – essential
  • Proficiency with CargoWise (or similar Transport     Management Systems) is desirable
  • Strong organisational and time management     skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service     abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving     abilities.
  • A proactive, solutions-driven attitude     with keen attention to detail
  • Experience with purchase order management     is a plus
