Supporting the NHS through Covid-19
The Coronavirus pandemic is having a profound impact on our society – from our physical and mental health, to our supply chain and beyond.
In challenging conditions, our industry must step up and support the NHS and key workers in keeping us safe, fed and sane. By keeping supply chains open for critical supplies, and ensuring our operations continue running, we’re doing our small part.
At Unsworth, we want to recognise the brave men and women on the front lines in the NHS the supporting organisations, key workers and volunteers. We want to pay special mention to our colleagues in NHS Supply Chain for remaining professional and diligent under the kind of pressure we have never before encountered as a country.
As a business, we recognise that not only can we support the effort but so can many of our clients and so we are helping guide and signpost to where they can better assist.
Construction is swiftly underway for the Nightingale Hospital located within London’s ExCel Centre, with up to 4,000 beds under preparation to help tackle this pandemic as effectively as possible.
Up to 750,000 volunteers are being recruited and businesses are contributing where possible. Unsworth have supported a project in collaboration with one of our clients to aim to provide Motorhomes for use by government agencies as temporary housing and mobile isolation units. These are some of the steps that we can take in order to battle this crisis. Now is the perfect time to consider how your products and services can be best applied in national relief efforts. Take some time to ensure you’re filling out the logistics support form here and getting in touch with the right people to provide and support where you can. We recognise that a lot of our customers potentially want to support but don’t know how – here is how.
Our team at Unsworth are showing our support for the strong NHS staff who are getting us through this tough time. Stay safe, stay home.
