BIFA board appointment underlines industry commitment

In a main board re-shuffle the British International Freight Association (BIFA) – the forwarding trade body – has announced new board appointments, including Unsworth’s Charles Hogg.

Charles, Unsworth’s commercial director, is currently chair of BIFA’s Maritime, Road and Rail Policy Group, and will retain this role when he takes a seat on the BIFA board.

John Stubbings of the Woodland Group will be the association’s National Chair for a two-year tenure, supported by new vice-chair, Spatial Global’s Rachel Morley, while long-time BIFA supporter Sir Peter Bottomley, MP, remains as BIFA president.

Charles’ appointment to the BIFA board is a powerful endorsement of this long-standing Unsworth commitment, in supporting the trade association, and taking a leading role in guiding the forwarding sector’s development and direction.

And the next generation of Unsworth forwarders are not going to be left out, with former apprentice Kyle Lawrence recently appointed Chair of the newly created BIFA Young Forwarders Network in the South East Region.
